Tripot Coffee Table

This coffee table is based on three legged, triangular arch forms.

The table top is tempered glass providing a nice combination of solidity and lightness in glass itself. Tripot was designed especially for the Cooroy contemporary furniture exhibition 2004 and further develops previous coffee table made in Wester Australia.

This time I utilized modern technology laser cutting, ceramic pots and tempered glass as a structural element. The asymmetrical and triangular structure of the piece creates interesting interlocking atterns. The three pots on the table each have a small wasps’ nest in them. Handmade ceramics by Tanja Gahler
